Privacy Policy

This policy explains how DTRS Academy may collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information associated with learning, purchases, testing coordination, and account services.

Effective: September 4, 2026   Last updated: September 4, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to DTRS Academy websites, learner and administrator accounts, course enrollment, training progress, purchases, subscriptions, credential records, testing coordination, workforce-resource features, support, and related communications operated by Data Tech Risk Solutions LLC.

2. Information we may collect

  • Account and identity information, including name, email address, password credentials in protected form, account type, organization, and role.
  • Learning information, including enrollments, lesson progress, knowledge checks, completion status, certificates, credentials, and training history.
  • Purchase and subscription information, including products ordered, price, billing status, transaction identifiers, and fulfillment status. Payment credentials may be handled directly by a payment processor.
  • Testing-coordination information, which may include requested exam or program, scheduling information, eligibility or voucher status, and other information needed to coordinate a testing service. Official testing providers may collect additional candidate information under their own privacy notices.
  • Organization-sponsored information, such as employer, school, agency, cohort, contract, or funding-program details.
  • Support, communications, survey responses, and information you voluntarily provide.
  • Technical and security information, such as device/browser information, session activity, timestamps, error logs, and data used to secure the service.

3. How we use information

  • Create and secure accounts and authenticate users.
  • Enroll learners, deliver content, save progress, issue DTRS completion records, and provide learner dashboards.
  • Process purchases, subscriptions, fulfillment, receipts, and customer support.
  • Coordinate testing services and provide relevant scheduling or candidate information to an applicable provider when needed for the requested service.
  • Administer organization-sponsored training, cohorts, workforce programs, and authorized progress reporting.
  • Send service communications, course reminders, testing notices, account alerts, and information about requested DTRS services.
  • Protect the platform, investigate misuse, prevent fraud, maintain records, improve services, and comply with law or contractual obligations.

4. Organization-sponsored learning

If an employer, college, government agency, workforce program, or other organization purchases, sponsors, or administers your training, DTRS may share enrollment, attendance, completion, progress, credential, or other program information with that organization when reasonably necessary to administer the sponsored program or when you have authorized the disclosure. The sponsoring organization may independently control its own copy of that information.

5. How information may be shared

  • With service providers supporting hosting, databases, authentication, email, payments, course delivery, security, analytics, and customer support.
  • With certification, testing, courseware, lab, voucher, or assessment providers when reasonably necessary to fulfill the product or service you requested.
  • With an authorized sponsoring organization as described above.
  • When required by law, legal process, fraud prevention, safety needs, protection of rights, or a valid government request.
  • In connection with a business financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to applicable privacy obligations.

6. Sale and targeted advertising

DTRS Academy is designed to provide training and related services, not to sell learner personal information or use learner records for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change in a way that creates a legal opt-out right, we will provide the required notice and control before applying that practice where required.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide training and account services, maintain purchase and credential records, administer contracts and funded programs, prevent fraud, protect security, resolve disputes, and comply with legal or tax obligations. Retention periods may differ by record type and program.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information. No system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your password and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized account access.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information and to appeal certain privacy-request decisions. Some records may need to be retained for legal, contractual, credential-verification, tax, fraud-prevention, or program-administration purposes.

Privacy requests may be submitted through the contact channel listed at dtrs.tech. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request.

10. Children and minors

DTRS Academy may offer youth-oriented training only through a program designed and administered for that audience with appropriate parent, guardian, school, or organizational permissions as required. General account registration is not intended for children under 13 to create independently.

11. Third-party services

Third-party testing sponsors, certification bodies, payment processors, courseware publishers, labs, and linked websites have their own privacy practices. Their notices apply to information they collect or control.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Academy, law, or our data practices change. The effective date will be updated when appropriate. Questions or privacy requests may be submitted through the contact channel listed at dtrs.tech.

These policies are business terms for DTRS Academy and may be updated as the Academy, products, or applicable law change.
