Terms and Conditions
These commercial terms govern DTRS Academy purchases, subscriptions, training, digital learning products, certification preparation, and testing-related services.
Effective: September 4, 2026 Last updated: September 4, 2026
1. Operator and scope
DTRS Academy is operated by Data Tech Risk Solutions LLC ("DTRS," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions apply to paid courses, subscriptions, training packages, learning products, testing coordination, and other purchases made through DTRS Academy. They supplement the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Return and Refund Policy, User Agreement, and any separate proposal, statement of work, organizational training agreement, purchase order, or testing-provider terms.
2. Eligibility and organizational purchases
Individual purchasers must be legally able to enter into a contract. If you purchase or administer training for an employer, college, government agency, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to act for that organization and to enroll or sponsor the identified learners.
3. Product descriptions and included items
Course and package pages identify the items included in a purchase. Certification exam vouchers, retakes, labs, official courseware, instructor-led sessions, testing-center services, subscriptions, and third-party products are included only when the applicable product description states that they are included. Learners should review the product description before purchase.
4. Pricing, payment, and recurring subscriptions
- Prices and applicable billing periods are shown before checkout and may change prospectively.
- By starting a recurring subscription, you authorize the selected payment method to be charged at each renewal until cancellation.
- You may cancel a subscription to stop future renewals. Unless required by law or stated otherwise at checkout, cancellation does not create a prorated refund for the current paid period.
- Third-party products, vouchers, testing fees, or licensing costs may be subject to separate provider pricing and rules.
5. Testing and certification providers
DTRS may coordinate or facilitate access to certification or assessment services offered by independent testing sponsors, publishers, or providers. Their candidate rules, identification requirements, scheduling rules, rescheduling windows, exam-security requirements, scoring, retake rules, voucher expiration dates, and disciplinary decisions apply in addition to DTRS policies. DTRS does not control exam scores, certification-award decisions, or third-party credentialing requirements.
6. Course access and scheduling
Self-paced access periods, instructor-led dates, classroom locations, virtual-session details, and completion requirements may vary by product. Learners are responsible for meeting prerequisites, attending scheduled sessions, maintaining compatible equipment and internet access for online learning, and completing work within the stated access period.
7. No guarantee of certification, employment, or funding
Training and certification preparation can improve readiness, but DTRS does not guarantee that a learner will pass an examination, earn a certification, receive academic credit, obtain employment, receive a promotion, qualify for a government position, receive workforce funding, or achieve a particular salary or career outcome.
8. Intellectual property and third-party licenses
DTRS course materials, recordings, instructional content, assessments, and platform content are protected by intellectual-property laws. Third-party courseware, labs, vouchers, books, and certification materials remain subject to the owner's license terms. Purchase grants only the access or license described for the product and does not transfer ownership of copyrighted materials.
9. Service changes and cancellations
We may make reasonable changes to instructors, schedules, delivery format, course sequence, or platform features when needed to operate the program. If DTRS cancels a paid instructor-led course or paid service and does not provide a substantially equivalent rescheduled option accepted by the purchaser, the Return and Refund Policy applies.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
DTRS Academy provides education, training, preparation, workforce information, and testing coordination. It does not provide legal, financial, employment-placement, immigration, medical, or government-benefit advice unless a separate qualified service is expressly identified. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DTRS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform or training services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. Governing law and changes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, except where another law must apply. We may update these terms prospectively and will provide reasonable notice of material changes when required.
